  • Base:  Made of high strength 6061 aluminum alloy, this plate is 18 inches long, 11 inches wide and 3/8 inch hardened black anodized finish.
  • Arbor:   . The Arbor platen rides on preloaded ball bearings to eliminate end play. The Arbor has adjusting features for aligning the horizontal swing of the dop arm assembly.
  • Motor:  3 inch diameter PM motor with 38 in. oz. Of torque and 6000 rpm. (Arbor speed 0 to 2800 rpm)
  • Drive Belt Tension:  Self adjusting.
  • Upright :  This vertical shaft is 3/4” diameter, 17 ½ Inches tall and nickel plated.
  • Height Adjustment:  Push button quick release height adjustment allows you to go from one end of the mast to the other. Plus micro height assembly is a single unit on the upright. Calibration is .007 for each dot. One full turn equals .086.
  • Horizontal slide:  Round dove tail, positive lock any position.
  • Vertical Slide:  Positive lock with easy push button release move from one end of the mast to the other.
  • Digital Read Out:  Compact integrated electronic circuitry is easy to view LCD display, 0.7” high (black figures on silver background) with 1/10º space resolution and continuous synchronous LCD reading with movement of dop arm. (pot linearity .5%)
  • Angle Stop:  Is positive with micro fine adjustment.
  • Dial Indicator:  Repeat gauge to be used to read between 1/10º increments of the angle display.
  • Dop Arm:  Is concentrically adjustable to .0002 TIR (total indicated runout). The dop arm can be removed easily with out removing the index gear. This access allows multiple head operations by commercial faceting or schools.
  • Precision Collet Chuck:  This chuck is a split self–centering type.
  • Dop Alignment:  Is done with a set screw that permits removal and replacement of the dop while maintaining radial alignment.
  • Index Trigger:   Is a brass tooth that can be replaced when ever needed.
  • Index Splitter:  (cheater): Radial type rotates the dop arm 10º right or 10º left of the center position. This adjustment is smooth and with anti–back lash.

A:  2-1/2" 5,000 rpm 90v dc pm motor.
B: Control box with variable speed control, reversing switch, and separate power switch.
C: Gear box has push button disengagement of reciprocation and swivel spacer to hold position.
D:  Spring loaded between gear housing and main body to hold out end play while reciprocation is disengaged.
E:  Spring loaded push pin for locking the main shaft while tightening or loosening the collet nut.
F:  Ratchet lever for vertical adjustment for changing the plane of the mandrel. (also has a adjustment for horizontal rotation.

Features You Should Know About

The Arbor platen rides on preloaded ball bearings to eliminate endplay. The Arbor has adjusting features for aligning the horizontal  swing of the dop arm assembly.

  • Upright Mast:  18 inch high, 1-1/4 inch sq. has a continuos lead screw the entire length of the mass for vertical positioning of the facet head. A calibration scale on the upright is readable to 1/16 inch. This feature is ideal for faceters using the ‘meet point’ faceting method.
  • Height Adjustment: Positive push button design for quick height change from one end of the mast to the other ( a real time saver since there is no need to crank the facet head the length of the mast) . Plus micro adjustment for fine height setting where by the knob calibration is readable to .0035” change, with one full turn equal to .035” change in height.
